Security

The Security section of the account settings protects your user account: here you change your password and review or terminate the active sessions on other devices. You reach it from the avatar menu → Settings → Security.

The new password is validated in real time against these criteria:

  • Minimum 8 characters.
  • At least one lowercase letter (a-z).
  • At least one uppercase letter (A-Z).
  • At least one number (0-9).
  • Recommended: special characters (!@#$%^&*).

A colored bar rates the new password as you type:

LevelCriteria met
Weak0–1 criteria
Medium2–3 criteria
Strong4–5 criteria
  1. Enter your current password. Vulnity verifies it before allowing any change.

  2. Enter the new password; the requirements checklist updates in real time.

  3. Confirm the new password — both values must match.

  4. Click Change password.

This section lists every active session of your account across devices and browsers, so you can spot and terminate sessions you do not recognize.

For each session you see:

  • Browser and version — for example Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
  • Operating system — for example Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, Android, or iOS.
  • IP address and approximate location, when available.
  • Last activity — minutes, hours, or days ago.
  • A “Current” badge on the session you are using right now.

You can terminate an individual session or terminate all sessions except the current one. Sessions expire automatically 30 days after they are created, and every termination is recorded in the security audit log.
