Quickstart — Connect your first WordPress site

The data shown in the SIEM comes from the Vulnity Security plugin installed on each WordPress site. This guide connects your first site using the assisted connection: the panel issues a single-use link and the plugin pairs itself, with no credentials to copy.

Note

The assisted connection requires Vulnity Security 1.4 or higher installed and activated on the site. If you cannot use it, the manual method below always works.

Connect a site step by step

1. Create your account and sign in to the panel.

   After signing in you land on the SIEM dashboard. Open Domain Management and click Add Domain.

2. Enter the site URL.

   Fill in Full WordPress URL with the complete address, including http:// or https:// and any subdirectory where WordPress is installed (for example https://example.com or https://example.com/blog), then click Next. The panel warns you if the URL is similar to a domain you already registered.

   The domain name is derived from the URL automatically; you can change it later in the domain settings. If you have created templates, an optional Template step appears before the connection step.

3. Install the plugin on the WordPress site.

   In the Connect step, click Install the plugin on your WordPress — it opens the plugin search of your site’s wp-admin with Vulnity already searched. Alternatively, go to Plugins → Add New manually:

   

   Search for “Vulnity Security”:

   

   Click Install Now, then Activate:

   

4. Generate the connection link.

   Back in the panel, click Connect automatically. The panel issues a single-use connection link, opens it in a new tab, and shows a countdown: the link is valid for 15 minutes. If it expires, click Generate again to issue a new one.

   

5. Confirm the connection in the plugin.

   The link opens the plugin’s setup screen in wp-admin with the message “Your Vulnity panel requests to connect this site”. Click Connect now — the site pairs automatically, with no Site ID or Pairing Code needed.

   

6. Verify that the domain is active.

   The panel checks the pairing every few seconds and jumps to the Verification step on its own. When the first heartbeat arrives you will see “Successfully linked!” — click Finish. The domain now appears as Active in Domain management.

   

Once connected, the plugin shows its main dashboard on the WordPress side:

Caution

If the plugin’s setup screen shows a storage check warning, the vulnity-data folder is not writable. Give it permissions (recommended) or choose the database fallback before connecting. See The folder exists but cannot be written to.

Manual method (alternative)

If the assisted connection is not available (older plugin version, blocked pop-ups, or no direct access from the panel), you can pair the site manually: the panel shows the Site ID and Pairing Code in the Manual connection card of the same wizard, and you enter them in the plugin’s setup screen.
